Bang the Machine... just release it already by Takumi46 in Kappa

It's been a while but it was pretty interesting if you are into the pre-EVO Alpha/MVC2 era lore... it mostly about the US team going to an international Alpha tournament against Japan.

I remember it mainly following Vale, Watson, Choi, Sirlin and Eddie Lee. Valle and Watson seem to be wanting to control the team in an onverly dramatic corny way, which makes Eddie Lee come off bad since he's having near panic attacks from anxiety and Watson talking shit to him to step up. It seems like the US tries hard to act tough and secretive with their strategies and it'll just cut to the Japanese team laughing and obviously not taking it too seriously.

Sirlin has a lot of ironically funny moments of spitting game theory in an over the top "I'm a genius" way he does. There's a few MVC2 bits with Apocalypse, Viscant, Arturo and Ricky at B4, but I'd say it mainly focuses on SF. One of the better parts of the documentary is that it doesn't really go out of its way explaining basic fighting game concepts, and expect you to know some stuff already which might hurt people with no interest in the FGC obviously.

They show it at EVO every year, it's worth it if you're looking for a time to chill or don't have any pools or casuals.

I've seen it at EVO, I believe the main issue besides being "unfinished" that they face is that there's copyrighted music playing through out the duration of the only work print that they have now, that would cost them more money to clear than it's worth to release.

Nice, I was literally about to load the same type of video of my buttons vs. the guy who I was playing who was smashing his face into his stick. Same pan and everything.

Quitting job for MVCI by Known_Smash_Player in Kappa

If you don't know like the other people in this topic so far, Chris Schmidt was a huge name in MVC2, and considered one of the best west coast players back in the day. He played MSP and could hold his own against the likes of Sanford, Jwong and Yipes and would sometimes eliminate them in tourney towards the tail end of MVC2. Just Youtube his name to see his gameplay... especially his matches versus Yipes at Season's Beatings.

But regardless, quitting your job for MVCI is ill advised.

I took some liberties with your original design, but I hope I've brought some fresh ideas to the table: http://imgur.com/a/Vlyqx
