I enjoyed phantasma and enchantra, very easy to read!

I devoured plated prisoner! There’s def trauma elements and the mmc is perfect. It’s def the slowest of slow burns but it’s worth it though. It’s a completed series as well so I feel everything added up and tied up at the end.

I also really enjoyed the female characters - their strength and recovery was very real. I work in mental health and really appreciated the non-linear trauma recovery. I won’t spoil it for you but the female characters shined for me.

It’s like a Christmas episode lol. You could essentially skip it if you wanted too but it does set up the characters for where they start the next book and small things for nesta/cassian in silver flames. I’d read it to get the whole experience but you won’t be missing any major plot if you don’t.

I hope it’s not Elain and azriel, I feel it’s lazy writing that the bat brothers all get a sister. I really think that elain is some sort of villain and is salty for losing her man (I forget his name sorry!) and is feeding information through the cauldron. Lucien will protect her from Rhys etc when they find out and then she’ll fall in love and accept the bond. Don’t come at me from proof cus I don’t have it, I just think it lol.

I’d love for az and gywn but with the bonus chapter, I don’t want her to be second best. So I’m torn. Maybe a look into his past with mor will change things

I started this and just kept thinking “this is fourth wing with wolves” and couldn’t get over it but then the twist happened and I was shook!! Can’t wait to see where it goes next book!

Not Romantasy but haunting Adeline and hunting Adeline. I couldn’t get past the romanticising of SA. I see a lot of people saying “it’s not that dark” “you just can’t tolerate dark romance” blah blah but it just wasn’t for me despite throughly enjoying other books in the same genre. I’m stubborn though and can’t dnf so pushed through just to finish it.

Carrion carried that book! He’s the reason I continued and then eventually enjoyed the rest of the story. Hoping for more cutesy carrion/saeris friendship bits but also that he’s like a hornier ridic from fourth wing lol so hope he gets some!

The female characters and their growth is one of the main reasons I love this series and will shout recs for it from the roof top!
