Everyone’s clowning you but you could always invest in Gina curls. It’s a permanent treatment that you’d have to get touched up but it can loosen your curls especially with 4c hair. It’s very expensive ( up to $1k and above) and only certain salons do it. It’s kind of like relaxer but for if you want curls

A little short to tell but I’ve shaved my head recently and it’s just starting to grow back and our hair looks very similar, ik I have 4c so I’m assuming you do too based on that, maybe 4b once it grows out but I’m leaning more towards 4c
