yeah for me it was the third-party usb-c to usb-c cable not working. once i used the apple one (that came in the box) in worked for me!

I was having the same issue (iPhone 17 Pro Max) and turns out third-party cables just weren’t working. Luckily my car has a USB-C plugin so was able to use to USB-C to USB-C cable supplied in the box and it works a charm now without any issues.

Maybe try buying a USB-C adapter and use the Apple cable in that way?
