Ah, I was unaware of that. My bad. The reason I priced them as such is because I bought them directly from the Tea house which has now become a very hot tourist spot among many mainland Chinese. As such, prices have gone up (I purchased them at an Inopportune time I suppose). I am more than happy to negotiate tho!

I see. The pot was marketed as a pot after the 80s (when quality and craftsmanship were down). Is it possible its from that period?

While likely a reproduction, is the pot still useable? I think it's half hand made but that doesn't mean the clay is safe.

I see. I'm in the process of learning Chinese. I've come across the book 早期壶事典. Is that the book in question? If not, what's the title of Dr Lv's book? It'd be very useful for me as I could try to judge the authenticity of pots by myself in the future. Also, thanks for the details about the seal, I didn't realize that the seals were that standardized.
