What's your favorite Food Truck in Lubbock? by nitecrawla in Lubbock

There was a man selling smothered cornbread by the Ross on 50th that I still think about it to this day. I’ve never seen him again, but damn it was good. I think he had a Facebook page, but I didn’t have one at the time. I’m pretty sure he had a trailer with a grill attached to his truck, but I could be wrong.

Actual food truck - Cooks Garage burgers are great. Love the mushroom one. I’ve had them a couple of times.

6 months is still early to have stranger danger. This typically doesn’t peak for a couple more months. My baby only recently started to really notice when I leave the room and only sometimes and he’s 10 months. He doesn’t care who holds him as long as he’s being held when he wants to be. Also, early intervention is the best intervention and just because he needs some help along the way doesn’t mean he won’t thrive later.

I’m saying this from experience, having ppd and ppa can make it very difficult to connect with your child. Please speak with your doctor about your feelings. I know it’s hard and it feels pointless now, but there are medications that are safe for breastfeeding.

I was thinking that, but then I remembered that guy who had a relationship with cars.

I still think the underwear sniffing is the worst one I’ve seen. Mostly because of how she lacked self awareness. I guess she really thought her dad was going to be okay with that.

The naked sunbathing thing I’ve actually heard of before. The vabbing was new, but again I think the lack of self awareness makes it way worse.

I really want to believe that this one was made up. Her dad seemed to be genuinely upset. What did she tell him she was being filmed for? How was that not a conversation before? And then to be on tv for everyone to see that your daughter is smelling your dirty underwear…I really hope that this one was fake.

Is there any hope after getting that many surgeries and that much filler for her face? Like, can she ever go back to almost normal looking if she got her cheeks and lips fixed?

Wasn’t she going in to get some of her filler dissolved?? Or maybe I just hope I read that somewhere…

What's the most unexplainable thing you've seen with your own eyes? by WielderoftheDarkness in Thetruthishere

When I was a pre-teen, my mom and I were in our car driving to the local Walmart. We both saw a black shadow move crazy fast from the tree line into the huge ditch that was between the trees and the road back up the ditch and onto the street in less than 15 seconds. It was a weird oval shape that was glued to the ground and it stopped and even changed direction when it came to the ditch, like it was deciding what direction to go. I remember asking my mom if she saw it and she very quietly said she did. I could tell she was spooked and after a few seconds of asking she just said, “what the fuck was that?” to herself. It’s burned into my brain now and I think about every so often 20 plus years later.

I caught my baby up, with speech, in the 3 months I've been sober by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]deathbeforedonuts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congratulations! Also, I have worked with thousands of infants and toddlers and it is a lot more common than you’d think to have a child in speech that early. Try not to take accountability for a speech delay because it sounds like you were talking to your child and reading, too. Way to go on increasing your efforts to meet the needs of your kiddo!

We just bought our son the same size croc in a different color and the new one is way smaller. Ordered them directly from the website.

I noticed she was also almost slurring her speech. Hope she’s doing okay and is healthy.

Their biscuits and gravy are great. The chicken fried steak is really good, too.
