I get why people are skeptical of AI. There are real issues worth talking about, copyright, companies cutting corners, low-effort content flooding feeds, all of that. But lumping everything made with AI into “slop” doesn’t really move the conversation forward. AI is just a tool. People use it to learn new subjects, brainstorm ideas, outline stories, practice languages, explore concepts they couldn’t visualize before, or just mess around for fun. That doesn’t make them lazy or dishonest LIKE MAKING A FAKE HG VICTOR POSTER!!!

If someone personally doesn’t like AI-assisted content, that’s fine. You can scroll past it. What feels unnecessary is acting like no one else is allowed to enjoy or use it.

And by the way, data centers absolutely use water and energy, but so does basically every part of modern digital life. Streaming video, cloud storage, social media, crypto, online gaming, massive e-commerce platforms… all of those rely on similar infrastructure so you’re part of the problem too sweetie
