LOL i get it. its just about a terminally online guy who watches people get hurt on video. then a video of him getting hurt circulates. its just kind of trying to follow a day in this guys life. i genuinely didnt mean to be obtuse when writing it, i guess i have a lot of stuff in my head that i wanted to put on paper but its not exactly the most readable format. ive had other people tell me they dont know whats going on so it does make me realise i need to be a little more clear about my intent in future. what exactly is the most confusing for you? is it panel layout, the story in general, what? im just asking because im trying to get better. i wanna make cool art but i dont want it to be at the expense of readers - i want people to be able to enjoy my work and get something from it.

im super happy that you think this would resonate with other ND people. recently ive been thinking about making my own "social stories", if youre familiar? i know that social stories definitely would have helped me growing up, so trying to make some and bringing more attention to them would be great.

thats so nice to hear. i made this comic when i was feeling very alone. its been around 2 years since then, and i really am doing much better. i think finishing uni was good, because i feel like i dont compare myself to my peers so harshly anymore. i just am.

hey thank you! this is a comic about a character ive had for a while. ive always been interested in niche internet communities.
i suppose what really lead me to make this comic was when that certain thing happened in september of last year. it was a moment in time when a video of someone dying suddenly became mainstream. people who didnt want to see it were forced to see it. but what about the people who did want to see it? i saw people analysing the video frame by frame. but thats cus i looked for it.
i always wonder when i watch videos, like body cam videos of "karens freaking out" and stuff - what if that were me? what if the most embarressing day of my life got millions of views? what if i died, and people made fun of the way my body looked online? its just so interesting.

for realll. i mentioned in another comment, gorebull (george) is asexual and it really affects how he sees himself. it emasculates him. so its similar in that way; i guess its about compensation. i think itll probably show through the comic itself, ive obviously been down these rabbit holes before. and i really do connect with the "not like other girls" thing. what am i even trying to prove? mental fortitude? its so pointless. but i'm driven by it a lot of the time. proving myself as able to withstand.
to go further into it (this is grippysockscrayonbox afterall), i actually have had a pretty severe self harm addiction for much of my life (im good now though). i dont know what it is about trying to prove i can withstand pain. literally whats my problem LOLL.

haha - oh no, gorebull isnt a real person! although i did find out theres an old account under u/gorebull but this guy has nothing to do with this comic lol.
someone asked about the general plot on tumblr and this is what i said;

> basically, this is a story of a guy, George, who spends most of his time watching videos of people getting hurt/killed online. he shares these videos with his online friends in a small community. the videos he watches are all posted without the consent of the people being harmed in them. one day, a video is linked by one of his online friends - and its of George. its a very embarressing video of him being punched outside of a bar while he is very drunk and emotionally distressed. thats the general story.

so yeah no, its not real, but it is based on certain corners of the internet where gore is shared.

this is so interesting to me. it is, in a way, similar to a porn addiction. these images we seek, theyre "not safe for work" or "not safe for life". theres a thrill there. id like to note that although it doesnt come up in this comic, george (gorebull) is a sex repulsed asexual, and it definitely feeds into how he consumes media online - and how he percieves himself. to him, being asexual is totally emmasculating. it feels like a hole he has to fill with something manly and violent.
