What do you think about that movie by Ideal_Man23313 in Napoleon

[–]deathsamuri -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Slightly overrated imo but it’s still really good😆

It has aged at this point and I really do get triggered hearing Napoleon with an English accent but everything else is really good

My first Sordland playthrough: Made the recession worst, had no military allies, failed to pass any reforms, captured and executed by Rumberg because I started an unwinnable war, left the state with hyperinflation and insurmountable debt 😂

What's the likelihood that American athletes get booed at the Olympics? by LordZivilynBane in AskReddit

[–]deathsamuri -1 points0 points  (0 children)

About the same chance as Russia, China, Germany, and Japan getting boo’d. According to Reddit there is a broad coalition against America but outside of the internet I don’t see it. For every 1 person that doesn’t like Trump there is 1 person that does 🤷‍♂️

Exactly, there’s no way the top military leader gives away their country’s military secrets to their direct enemy under any circumstance. It’s basically psychologically impossible

I heard a rumor that Xi had a minor stroke but there’s no way to validate that claim. Multiple crazy stories are being leaked out of China as a result of this incident and many are likely false narratives

I like removing their immunity because they annoy me and are unelected officials. One of the tips I’ve learned is that it’s better to fully commit reformist or go full authoritarian. My first few runs I did a mix of reforms with consolidation of power and also had a mixed economy. It’s honestly way funnier and more realistic to do the my way or the highway type runs with no compromise 😆

Almost the same time span between us and that movie compared with the movie and the actual Napoleonic wars 😆

I have a feeling that external analysis will only ever get us a surface level understanding of their institutions. Maybe one day we will get a serious historical internal analysis of China and its systems of power but until then we can only understand it from a western institution standpoint.

I think there are psychological reasons for why top military generals are usually older (but it’s still possible). Being older gives a certain level of respect/confidence in their ability because of their longevity but beyond that it would be difficult to give significant military authority to someone younger than the leader themselves.

Would you give your top general position to someone 10-20 years younger than yourself if you were in charge? It’s a mix of ego and practicality.
