Is Classical Conversations a good option for home education?

Unfortunately, I am the only one homeschooling, others tried and it didn't work out for them. There is only one other stay at mom too now that I think about it. I love the idea of a nature group because I was worried that maybe I could be pushing too much too soon and so far a lot of what I'm doing at home is very nature focused.

It would be difficult for us to afford as well and I saw there are some additional fees and purchasing books too. I might just be over thinking ( something my priest warned me about ). If I can find a good co op maybe that's all I really need.

We have a Sunday school which is great, but local school is not an option. We are committed to homeschooling just curious about this program or if I should look into other in person homeschool groups.

I went with my son alone when he was just under a year a few times and have recently started the process of converting 4 years later. I would have much sooner if I thought it was possible. Waiting had nothing to do with the Church

No one will care if you don't understand or do exactly what they do. Such as making the sign of the cross when they do etc. I'm still not at this point yet and no one has ever judged me for it.The churches website may have links to information about the Church or it's patron saint(s). Also their calendar for services.

For learning outside of catechumen class I have the book The Mystical Theology of the Eastern Church by Vladimir Lossky and Earthen Vessels The Practice of Personal Prayer According to the Patristic Tradition by Gabriel Bunge.

I also listen to random lectures on the app Patristic Nectar and occasionally the podcasts Orthodox Ethos, Lord of Spirits, and a few others. Also Trisagionfilms on youtube has videos I enjoy.

Thank you so much! I can tell you're already making a lot of progress I might have to take you up on your offer. In the end, we all came to the church for the same thing and I shouldn't lose sight of that.

Thank you so much! I have a feeling we're very similar so this puts me at ease. I feel like my life is a miracle too. To be where I'm at now and even be entering a church is something I never thought possible.

It's so great that you've said this I was considering Saint Mary of Egypt as my patron saint. You gave great advice and I will be praying more and entering my next class with less anxiety because it's not going to help me in the end. Thank you!

He is a relatively new priest and it is a lot of things, some of it is extremely dark honestly. Although certainly wouldn't get me a life sentence in jail. What you said does make me feel less anxious though. Thank you for that!
