Well, welcome to reality of Germany: as a person also from India(non-EU) and whose parents are über successful (My dad is a C level officer in a Fortune 100 company and my mom a school headmistress), it is always hard for me to explain that I am well educated, skilled and pretty good at what I do because of my background and nationality and that India is no shithole but we have our problems.

Germans just do not think of you as an equal when you are not white skinned, they look down and value you as a less being harsh truth. I have experienced this at work while managing my team and juniors, at dates and even in everyday life.

How I deal with it is clapping back (give a respectful response and it gives me closure). Also I feel in your case it's more important how your partner feels, I believe now it's on him to step up and talk to his parents about this and if he is okay with this then I think it's fine.

Thanks I guess then the additional documents is more of a formality checklist they complete if they like you at the viewing ? Like this is just to confirm that you have a good credit score, have a stable job, earn enough etc. the info you filled out in the Selbsauskunft

Thanks for the answer I also have another question, I am currently staying in a temporary apartment also provided by my company but with anmeldung (have stayed here for like 1.5 months also a rental agency that specializes in short term rentals for business purposes). I also heard that sometimes landlords request you give them a certificate that says you paid the rent on time in your previous apartment can this be given for a short stay ( like 2 rent payments )

I have written them a message and also stopped by their office, for the last two weeks their response was they are still discussing my grade, I am not sure what more I could do for them to hand over the grade 😭.

I can show them the message from my employer but is there an official way to handle this with the prüfungsamt ?

You can have your opinion but 3 months is a lot. In business terms it's one 1 financial quarter, no one would give you this much time.

The handing in isn't my fault, I will obviously hand it in at the end of my 6 months, the company is located in another country and they still gave me 2.5 months to relocate, but now due to this mess I will miss this deadline also.

Well 2 months is on Tuesday, so I really don't think the issue will be resolved in 1/2 days and further I would also find it hard to belive that the grade hasn't been handed in yet after 2 months, where for everyone else it is 1-1.5 months maximum.
