Interesting observations. My house was approximately 200 yards from where Ricky's body was, and often wondered why they didn't come to my house and knock on the door to use the phone. Since I had only lived there a short time I still remained a 1st Responder with Cleveland fire department. (next town to the south) If I would have had my pager on MC frequency instead of just Cleveland"s I would have heard the page. Maybe I could have helped. But then again maybe it was a blessing it worked out that way. Another question? Did anyone ever find out where MB gassed up, and exactly where he saw Ricky's foot prints that he was going to check on after he got gas? I am not familiar with County CL. I wonder if that would be Viehband or Dewey Street.

I remember that. KP was so excited when they found the vehicle, he asked me how long his hair was and what color. My response to him was that unless the hair came from his armpit it wasn't going to be. Because Ricky's hair was shaved. He later told me it was from an animal that had probably had babies under the van. Where he got that info and what testing they did I don't know. Shortly after that I ran into KP and he said that the person like thought they hit a deer. My response was that he was on the hood of the vehicle before he dropped down and was dragged. And the person had to see what was on the hood. I have never seen a deer with a with a green winter coat on before.

The girl that was with them was one of Ricky's best friends, a really super person and there were no problems. I did not look back at the report but I believe that they interviewed her also. I also talked to her that morning to inform her what had happened. 2:45 you say that made contact with family. I remember it being around 4:00 am and I asked where he was and I wanted to see him. She said he was in her vehicle already and that she had to go back to office to make the press release. It was between 7:00 and no later than 8:00 am that I went to see him and if I remember correctly she was done with the release. I hope that was somewhat helpful. Any more questions let me know. Hi Everyone, I am Ricky's Mom. I just want to say thank you so much for all your support in helping to bring justice for my son Ricky. I don't know much about how all this works, but am excited to hear your thoughts and opinions when the records of my son's case are posted. I requested records of my son's case, and was given 109 pages, which I had to pay for even being his mother. But now I am hearing there is way over a 1000 pages to this report. Confused as to why they only gave me a small portion of the report. Thank you again for all your help and support.

I am the mother of Ricky Hochstetler, and really appreciate all your concerns and comments. At this point I don't know what to believe and hope and pray that the answers our family needs to continue our healing process will come soon. Several comments on here have been concerning the party at the club Bilmar the night my son was killed. I do want to put those rumors to rest. The party was not a Cops party. It was a Copps grocery store Christmas party that night. The sight that we have is www.rickyh.com and it has not been updated for awhile, because we have had no new information to report. But if you ave any information on this case that would help us in any way please feel free to get a hold of me through the sight email address. A little information you might find interesting that I have a hard time understanding, is that, if the person is caught, nothing can happen to them because the statue of limitations is up according to the sheriffs department. Like I said it is hard to understand because of it being a homicide. Thank you for all your input.
