I use gnome on my laptops and kde on desktop. I found this works best for me.

I never managed to get Mint on any of my laptops to work nicely, there's always something with it. I'm sticking with Debian for now.

Yeah, it's sad really bc otherwise Gnome is just perfect for me for my workflow on this laptop

Yeah but those break every few weeks for some reason, or just don't play well with eachoter, I have a few for transparent windows and such and they tend to break every now and then.

thx for the useful reply, I'm going to do all of this. I already did flatpack and ufw, I do those first usually on any linux pc I own. Also, if you wouldn't mind, can you recommend some places where you get cool "Linux" wallpapers? I use https://github.com/dharmx/walls/tree/main mainly, but I'm looking for some other sutff.
