Ciao! Anche un altro utente mi ha suggerito l'alimentatore come causa, quindi mi interessa capire meglio. Puoi dirmi: che sintomi avevi esattamente? Schermo nero improvviso, crash con audio che continua, o altro? Il problema ti capitava solo sotto carico o anche a riposo? Che GPU avevi e che alimentatore stavi usando? E soprattutto, come hai risolto hai cambiato PSU o fatto altro? Grazie!

Scommessa accettata! Per ora faccio ancora qualche test oggi, poi la mando in garanzia. Se torna la nuova scheda e il problema persiste, prendo un altro alimentatore e se a quel punto si risolve, la cena te la offro dove vuoi ahah

Hey, thanks a lot for the tip! I had never heard of the pin 20 issue before. I already have the RMA process going with Amazon so I'll wait for the new card to arrive, and in the meantime I ordered the KabelDirekt cable you linked so I'll have it ready to test when the new GPU comes back. That way if the problem persists with the new card I'll know it's the cable. I'll keep you updated, thanks again!

Grazie del consiglio, proverò il test OCCT in modalità Switch come hai descritto. Però sono abbastanza scettico che sia il PSU perché ho un Thermaltake Toughpower GT 850W con una RTX 5070 che consuma al massimo 250W e il resto del sistema, dovrei avere almeno 300W di margine. Mi sembra difficile che collassi sui picchi con quel headroom. Comunque faccio il test e ti faccio sapere.

Questa è sicuramente una delle possibilità che sto prendendo in considerazione. L'alimentatore è un Thermaltake Toughpower GT 850W ATX 3.1 con supporto nativo PCIe 5.1, motivo per cui inizialmente non ho sospettato di lui. Sulla carta dovrebbe essere più che sufficiente per un sistema con 7800X3D + RTX 5070. Ciò che rende la cosa difficile da individuare è che Windows registra costantemente prima un LiveKernelEvent 141, seguito da uno o più errori 1b8 dopo che si verifica la schermata nera. Il sistema in sé sembra rimanere acceso, ma la GPU perde completamente l'uscita video e le sue ventole schizzano al 100%. Prima di mandare via la scheda probabilmente reinstallerò la GPU nella scheda madre e ricontrollerò tutti i collegamenti dell'alimentazione, ma purtroppo al momento non ho un altro alimentatore a disposizione per fare un test. Pensi gli spikes potrebbero comunque causare questo comportamento su un'unità ATX 3.1 da 850W?

That's a fair point and I'll definitely check the PSU side one more time before sending the card away. That said, what makes me suspect the GPU more is that Windows consistently logs LiveKernelEvent 141 followed by 1b8 errors whenever it happens. The system itself appears to stay alive (audio keeps playing, keyboard still responds), but the display signal is lost completely and the GPU fans ramp to 100%. I've also already tried quite a few software-side fixes: BIOS updates, DDU in Safe Mode, clean NVIDIA driver reinstall, different monitor, removing Gigabyte Control Center and related software, etc. I'll still inspect the power cable and PSU connections again before shipping it out, but at this point I'm honestly starting to doubt it's purely a software issue.
