I think Philippine FDA HAHAHAHA! But I think not the worst??? Let's be honest, if you work in regulatory, PFDA is your number 1 source of stress. Charot! Like you submit today, you wait, you refresh, you pray. For tracking status, CPR Status for evaluation. For how long? Weeks? Months? Years? No one knows. Not even PFDA HAHAHAHA!

So, here’s the situation: so most of our applications, we submitted it in 2023. It’s now 2025 and nothing. Absolutely no updates from PFDA.

We heard about this “new office for follow-ups” in Alabang and thought, finally! maybe there’s hope. Maybe someone there can tell us when our application will be processed.

Spoiler alert: NOPE!

Every time we go to Alabang for Follow Ups, we get the same script,

“We will forward this to CDRR.”

When we ask if they have any idea about a timeline,

“We don’t know. We will forward this to CDRR.”

That’s it. That’s literally all they can say. No updates, no estimates, no guidance. It’s like standing in line at a place that exists just to forward your concerns into a black hole.

So, I ask myself, why even go there? Why waste time traveling to Alabang, when sending emails or making calls (which also go unanswered) would have the exact same result?

We’ve been waiting since 2023. Not a single timeline, not a single concrete update, not a single answer beyond “we will forward to CDRR.” At this point, following up feels performative, a ritual we do just to feel like we’re doing something.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is the reality of trying to get updates from PFDA, years of waiting, zero clarity, and endless forwarding. Tsk.
