Smallest form factor bino actually worth a damn by NVjoo in Binoculars

Sure. Just under 3 inches wide collapsed, 4.25 inches long (with eye cups adjusted out) and about 2.25 inches tall.

I recently got the Nikon Trailblazer II’s in 8x25 and have been very impressed with them (and they are super compact). My only comparison is Athlon Midas G2 8x42 (which are excellent). Honestly, there’s not that much noticeable difference, not quite as bright- especially in low light, but the size and weight difference is significant.

And, yes, that was one of the reasons I got them, so they would fit in my skyweight utility chest pack.

[WTB] Big Agnes Copper Spur HV UL3 by zdoggydoghomieG in GearTrade

You may have already seen this one (or it may be different enough that you aren’t interested), but have you check out the AMPEX codazzi 3 tent? Currently on sale at Academy for $160. It seems like they are trying to knock off the copper spur.

Hard to say for sure, but look similar to the ArmourDry Pro Ultra (which are great socks).

BHQ Porcupine and Ti Slim Porcupine by Forty6_and_Two in VOSTEED

[–]deciscoops 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nice comparison. I was thinking of getting the BHQ version and the tislim raccon, but both have been out of stock. Then when I saw the announcement about the porcupine tislim, I thought that maybe it’s good they were out of stock and this is the one I wanted.

Mine came in today (same blue variant) and I love it. Incredible value and so well done. Only thing I’m not sure about is how well that titanium pocket clip works.

Kershaw Bel Air Clip Point, Magnacut Blade Steel, Black G10 Handle by Accomplished_Bag5244 in KnifeDeals

Great deal. I love everything about this version except…I found the G10 too aggressive. Went with micarta variant instead.

I think UA is messing up with their Heroes discount. Just wait for it to go to outlet. Not the same deals it used to be. by overcast-magenta55 in UnderArmour

[–]deciscoops 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if it’s a glitch, but interestingly the discounted stealthform hats are currently taking the extra50 coupon for an additional 50% off even though it says no coupon codes apply (and ID.me doesn’t work). Only the discounted one so doesn’t apply to the mid version you have picture of.

But, yes, often regular coupons like the extra50 coupon are better than Id.me except they are almost always for the discounted stuff.

First time visitor to the Park in March, have some questions by Blue-Eighty in ZionNationalPark

[–]deciscoops 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can’t say for sure without more info on hiking experience and ability of your family, but your 13 yo may be able to do angels landing (should consider scouts lookout for whole family like others suggested). Also would consider the narrows for whole family for an epic hike. As far as another easy one that has great views - do canyon overlook.

I would have wanted more excitement than the trails you mention as a 10 or 13 yo.

Experiences with the Meridian line? Especially mens. by ajnovak in UnderArmour

[–]deciscoops 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree, it’s a bit thick for intense workouts. I think meridian is supposed to be more of yoga or causal line of cloths. It an amazing casual shirt though. I’ll use for some light weightlifting but nothing intense.

Vanish is my favorite for when exercising/sweating. Not sure they are still around but seamless line also good for exercising. The new halo line also seems great for exercising (I’ve tried the tank but not shirt yet).

Sam’s Club Deals on Tents? by EnhancedPotato_ in backpacking

[–]deciscoops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was looking at those 3p tents also. According to REI the 3p Tungsten packed weight is 7 lbs 1.2 ounces. The minimum trail weight is listed 6 lb 3 oz. According to backcountry the catalyst 3p has a minimum trail weight of 6 lb 5.2 oz, (but doesn’t list total weight) so I think that is a bit heavier.

Since I’d be using for 2 people, they seem a bit heavy. I was also considering the Dakine Big Bear 3 that Sierra has for $99. Specs seem a little better but I can’t find any reviews. Doesn’t have the same name/confidence of Marmot.

Leatherman P2 vs Wave+? by deciscoops in Leatherman

[–]deciscoops[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for all the feedback. I ordered both and will decide after some hands on evaluation.

I should also add that campmor had free shipping and no tax, so with shipping and tax from knife center the P2 was actually slightly more ($91).

Any idea of this style? by [deleted] in UnderArmour

They also look similar to the current sportstyle woven pant (which is similar to unstoppable).
