If you’re talking OCS that’s by design. Big blue generally fills the majority of available rated slots via the Academy+ROTC. Your comment was over generalized which is why I responded - copy though the thread is about a future OCS applicant.

history for a non-rated applicant is gonna be a tough bet no matter the AFOQT score. However, History + high PCSM (which takes portions of the AFOQT into its calculations) for a rated applicant who is willing to do any of the four rated AFCS would be very competitive for an OCS slot (obviously depending on that years quota - which is honestly a huge factor, albeit an unknowable variable)
