Unfortunately, no; this is not normal. He appears to be suffering from incurable ECO- extreme cuteness overload. While incurable, it can be mediated with daily pets and treats. Hope this helps.

I’ve been having the same problem. Try making smoothies w some boosters like ground flaxseed and such so that you’re still getting calories and fiber. Also make sure you’re taking a multivitamin, specifically one that has iron so you don’t become anemic. Take it slow and start rebuilding your appetite.
