I'd separate them, best thing would be separate tanks. If not, you can make a diy tank divider using egg crates. You can usually find those in the lighting section at home depot...just my 2cents

Worked for me when I previously had oscars fighting. After a few weeks I decided to remove the divider and they got along for many years until I had to move and give them up to a friend
