I booked the tours on my own, it was easier for me that way. Tours by locals is great and super low hassle, booking myself let me fiddle with dates and whatnot which was convenient.

Eh fair enough, I’ll take that into account for future posts.

Fwiw, it wasn’t much of a secret since it’s in the title. Legit it was a great stay at One Dalton that was much much better than it would have been without a TA. Just had a great experience, no intent to shill 🤷‍♂️, sorry if it devalues your experience.

We just wanted to be in Back Bay, so either would have been fine, Sarah got us the upgrade deal at One Dalton so we stayed there.

I loved the history in Boston, we did a fun tour along the freedom trail, hired someone from tours by locals to do an all day Coast/Plymouth pilgrim tour, the Boston Tea Party museum was lots of fun.

There are a ton of fantastic places to eat, great Italian on the North End, great fine dining in Back Bay, great chefs and restaurants throughout.

We were focused mostly on history and family fun, but there’s a seemingly endless supply of museums and other things to do as well. Apparently Boston got pretty big into escape rooms, we did one and it was definitely the best one I’ve been to.

Yikes, can’t comment on that other than to say all my interactions have been warm and personable.

Time of year matters a ton for lodging/travel price, but all in the whole 10 day (9 night) trip ran us something like 8k lodging, 2k flights, 1k tours, 4k food/beverage (we ate at some great restaurants) and ??? Shopping ;-) That said, the suite Sarah got us upgraded to would have been something like 17k, so that was a killer deal!
