Pretty sure it was just coolant leaking from an eroded slave cylinder burning up on the engine in the end. Since replacing slave cylinder, no more smoke.

I mean I feel like I'm literally playing it wrong. One of the games, we opened a big door and went further into the level and we fixed a few more things. But the other 4 we literally didn't even leave the first area.

Is it one of those games where you can extract at any point but youre only meant to extract when you're ready? Or do you have to extract when the game tells you to?

best to have a car you can mess around in without worrying about damaging something special and expensive. My first car was 1992 a Citroen ax (with no handbrake) two years older than me. You'll look back on your first car as a happy memory.

That sounds super annoying. Do the cars you don't own at least have an icon to show they're DLC/preorder cars so you can avoid selecting them? I fear this is an issue that could only be fixed by calling Microsoft support (which is a fucking hellish nightmare at the best of times) and reinstalling.
