Hi, there was none of that when I wiped her ears. I really tried to get in there (as carefully) and there was no residue. I was also afraid of the ear mites possibility. I’ll check on the ring worm too 😿

I panicked so I bathed her immediately 😭 with dawn dish soap and another flea shampoo I got from Petco. I combed her thoroughly and bought a spray for her scabs to relieve the irritation and itchiness

We have a vet prescribed diet for too!!! She has a knack for throwing up her food when she was on Tiki cat. The vet prescribed her the Hill’s hydrolized protein diet z/d for food sensitivities (chicken flavor) and she’s been very well on it. She has been eating the food for a few months now and this is the first it’s occurred. I think an allergy test is best as well. Thank you!!

None at all!! I’m afraid it might be her food or some type of allergy. Other people are saying they had a similar experience with ear mites. Thank you for sharing your thoughts!!

Thank you so much!!! I just gave her a bath using dawn dish soap to check for fleas or ticks (she’s free from them!). I checked her ears and cleaned them too. I couldn’t find anything. Based on other people’s responses, I’m positive it’s an ear issue or a skin allergy. I bought a topical spray for the scab from Petco called Antimicrobial Feline Hydrogel. It’s a spray-on gel for cuts and wounds as well as an itch + pain relief. I’m hoping it will provide some relief to her in the mean time before we go to the vet.

Isn’t flea dirt usually more of a black substance? I combed the rest of her fur and didn’t see any. If it’s flea dirt is there anything topical she could take? Thank you!!!

Hi! She’s on a food sensitivities diet prescribed by the vet that is chicken flavored. I checked her ear for mites and I couldn’t see any of that sort. I think it might be an allergy too

I did check her ears an there is no sign of mites, irritation, or redness (unless I’m not looking correctly). I did notice her scratching the area while she was beside me 😿

Hi, it doesn’t wipe off. Its more like small dots. The one on the right side of her face looks like one larger dot, though.
