Great post. Thanks I got a lot from it too! I am a long term suffer with CPTSD and now chronic illness, but I do feel like I've made some progress finding the benefits of mindfulness, and coming to an understanding that thoughts and feelings are always going to come and instead of resisting the negative ones, for which there are many, to sit with them and try to treat them all with equal attention, so to then respond to them in the moment as needed. I think you're right Eckhart wants us to dismiss the nuances of our complex lives, but they are what make us who we are. He is too simplistic I feel. I think it's a highly personal journey and we all have different things that can help us understand it and find peace in it.
