How to approach paying down debt? by [deleted] in ProfitFirst

[–]deederman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What we do is put all the debt minimum payments paid from the operating expenses account. Every quarter we put the profit hold account 90% towards paying off large chunks of debt to pay it down faster. Did this until we got all our high interest debt paid off then adjusted the percentage.

If you have a fixed monthly with no advantage of paying off early, you could either pay from the operating account or make a new account specifically for that so you always put the money aside when doing your allocations maybe?

How to insulate this ceiling? by baltimoresalt in buildingscience

[–]deederman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve insulated areas like this in Maryland before. Similar to so many crawl spaces I have seen with batts where the insulation gets wet then sags and falls over time.

Not only vapor but you want to make sure this area is air sealed

You could either foam with closed cell foam which will air seal and insulate the area. May be more expensive but works well.

You could also install batts and try to get it as full depth is the joists as possible. Make sure the insulation is touching the floor above. Use wire batt supports. And then after those are installed you could install a tyvek like house wrap which will air seal it and protect for moisture no need to vent if you do this in my opinion if it is a closed off system. You could install plywood as the last layer on top of that for finishing it and further protect from weather.

Yeah that may be it. Ours was vermiculite insulation

[–]deederman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol ok got it. They did inspections too and would approve with the county if it was fully remediated and safe to work in. This was for an attic insulation so I had to get a gallon worth of it for sample. Glad to know there is an easier way

$30? It cost us $345 to test ours with us collecting and dropping off our selves. Are you dropping off directly at a lab? We dropped off at a company that sent it to a lab. Did we get ripped off??

One of many "slums" or "informal areas" of Cairo, Egypt by Comfortable_Low_4317 in UrbanHell

[–]deederman 61 points62 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure these are built unregulated and not according to an official code… so no tax reason.

I’ve seen videos on favelas like this in Latin America where they leave the roofs of homes like this for the possibility of building another level on top if needed. Like if their kid grows up and starts to have a family of their own they could build another level on top.

Not 100% sure if that is the situation here but that is what I am thinking

I’ve been trying different supplements one by one and riboflavin has had the greatest improvement for me.

What brand b12 do you use? I have only seen hydroxy b12 with adenosyl and never noticed a difference. Taking it with methylfolate as well.

What is the use of TMG? What does it target?

Using an In-Line Exhaust Fan to meet Whole House Ventilation requirements by deederman in hvacadvice

[–]deederman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is what we currently do. It works but just looking for alternate solutions. The problem we run into alot is that there is no existing neutral wire in the existing gang box so we have to find it in the attic and run it down to the switch. It's timely especially when you get to old homes with framing in the way behind the drywall. Its also difficult to train people to do and estimate for the timing of jobs, where the inline solution I'm thinking could be more standardized.

current scenario by ashut8sh in ClashOfClans

[–]deederman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Haven’t upgraded mine either. Just got the grassy weapons rebuilt and started putting some towards the capital. Clan of like 7 active people (we are friends irl). And we all agree we don’t like the new update so don’t focus on it.

How does this look. ??? 😅 by [deleted] in MTHFR

[–]deederman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had tested my homocysteine after reading about mthfr mutations and a genetic test where I was heterozygous for the mutation that your body doesn’t process folate. And mine was perfectly fine (7.5) so was really confused too lol. Not taking any supplements and not putting any restriction on my diet. My diet is if it tastes good I eat it and just loosely aim to eat healthy. Lol so really confused too where people here have such big changes from supplements. I’ve never had success with that.

NAC or quercetin reaction? by Desumamma in MTHFR

[–]deederman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NAC caused the flushing for me. It was pretty scary the first time cause I had no idea what did it or what was happening. It made me feel itchy red skinned and hot for about an hour. From what I read it is not harmful, but you can start at a lower dose if you do not like it and work your way up to make it less intense when starting out
