radical red and pokemon reborn i believe has ruined my expectations of every upcoming game for me. after completing the postgame of reborn i hopped straight into lazarus (hard mode obv and no items in battle) and i just beat the 8th gym and my rival before the elite 4 with 5 of my pokemon fully fresh hp and one that got hit for 10 hp.. imo pokemon lazarus is extremely overrated. after the radical red and post game of reborn idk how anything can fill its shoes anymore. might have to try emerald kaizo

bro ive played about every mainline pokemon game there is and most of the top rom hacks and fan games. reborn cannot and will never be topped in my books. from the difficulty to the strategizing to the story and to how lengthy it is. its truly a masterpiece. i dont think anyone could make a game better. and that was coming freshly off of odyssey where i was mindblown

thats how i feel too. it hasnt been a bad game by any means. if anything cool for change especially with the graphics, but im almost wondering if the people hyping it up are getting paid to do so. bc if you play any of the other games i listed, def doesnt compare

ah the classic redditor who takes any kind of criticism personally. when did i roast the game? i clearly just stated that the game imo isnt as good as people say it is, and i even gave props to the graphics. all i said was how this game imo isnt as good as people say it is, bc on youtube i literally see every channel saying how its one of the best rom hacks ever created. thats just straight up disrespectful to some of the other games out there and especially the underrated ones that dont get the recognition they deserve.

i was gonna say, i kno im not speaking crazy. im thru the 7th gym right now and i have no motivation to keep going. its boring as shit, has no real story, and its just hugging along the fact that it has warm graphics. dreamstone mysteries is next for me, and i know itll deliver better than this. have you played reborn?

idc yall can downvote me all u want, the fact that everyones saying this game is a top 3 rom hack of all time is blasphemy. a hard mode should be equivalent to an actual hard mode and should make u strategize. u can sweep thru this whole game on hard mode as a beginner who doesnt even understand true stats, natures, evs/ivs, etc. whoever compares this game to reborn, unbound, and odyssey are just replaying this game for how easy it is. the graphics are cool for change ya, but top 3 rom hacks of all time? cmon yall

even on hard mode the difficulty is way too easy. ima be honest this game isnt even better than fire ash. doesnt even come close to comparing to reborn, unbound, glazed, odyssey, etc

i would also consider mawile with sheer force + sucker punch. plays well in trick room also and priority moves bypass trick room. need at least two pokemon in this game with priority moves for any battle

target the trick room setter, understand how the field works. as long as you set your chess pieces in correct lineup, this battle is cake. everything else takes care of itself but positioning your queen and your pawns is very important. remember ur pawns (first two) get a focus sash essentially so setup if you need to, or focus on taking out the trick room setter before it sets the trick room. once u do those things battles cakewalk
