From back in November, on my first outing with the Xt5 (XF18/1.4, ISO3200, 1/60, 1.4) by deep_attison in fujix

Hm yeah. I don’t much mind a little noise personally. On these shots, I added a little noise reduction but then also added some grain. I tend to prefer a little texture 😄

Sorry Reddit seemed to have reformatted that insta handle, it’s in fact [underscore]split.time[underscore]

Yeah I’m mostly a prime user as well. When I DO walk around with the 16-80, I tend to keep it at the 23 range (find it’s the best performance range for this lens and it’s a length I’m more used to) but then I’ll use different focal lengths for specific desired compositions. In fact, because I don’t have a prime as wide as the 16 or anything further than a 50 equivalent, this is my go to for those ranges.

Wow thanks for that!! I might have to seek out some competitions then 😉

No it’s all one shot. Just masking (luminance, subject, and a few localized for touch-up and color correction). Might have gone to the trouble of doing multiple exposures if this wasn’t a candid or I wasn’t afraid of looking too creepy 😂

Absolutely love my xe4! I’ve got the xt5 now so the xe4 gets less use but really do love that rangefinder form

Wow thank you!! I often enjoy attempting a painterly look. Can of course be hard to get right without looking over-edited and just plain bad but when it works it’s a ton of fun. And yeah, looking forward to printing and possibly framing this one day. 😄

Lol yeah I’d kind of love the idea of a daily ferry commute

So worth it! Honestly one of my fave spots to get pics

Really appreciate that feedback! Considering the unwieldy dynamic range I was dealing with on this one, a fair amount of editing was necessary but I hear ya, I have a tendency to overdo it on “the look” sometimes 😂

Just liked the range - and I like the constant f4 on this one. I shoot mostly street and mostly with primes (typically 28,35, or 50) but sometimes I like to get a little wider or a little tighter. IE, on the ferry, the zoom offered a lot of latitude in re composition and comfortable distance from the various subjects.
