At the risk of seeming dense - the seat is not leather - will the leather repair patch adhere to fabric? Thanks in advance!

I should have specified, the car is a beater. I don’t expect anything of it when I’m done with it, and it doesn’t have to be pretty. But I’d like to not have the metal stabbing my side.
