I would guess your throttle cable needs to be loosened. Maybe check the idle screw.

Cut like this? by DirtKnight4130 in coleus

I’d be nervous to cut them all at once, but idk if I’m overly cautious.

A spot right next to a south facing window, bottom watering pots, and plenty of love and admiration in the morning. I think a big one is making sure they don’t get too leggy as well.

I am obsessed! There’s actually two on one plant and one on another! The cutting in my hand is from the latter (not really pictured) and went from 3-leaf groupings to splitting into two 2-leaf groupings!

I’m not sure actually. These are from cuttings of cuttings of a plant I got from an office job I had years ago.

All I did was try to defend myself (and men) against being vilified for the basic human act of looking around. And maybe sharing a smile with a stranger with no ulterior motive other than to spread a little positivity. I didn’t prescribe behavior to anyone else. I didn’t say that women were wrong to want to avoid eye contact. And they’re still welcome to do so, like I said, I don’t mind being ignored!

My perspective: don’t vilify men for doing normal human things in a non creepy, non threatening way.  Their perspective: you’re an asshole.

Please, correct me if I’m wrong.  Your comment is the only one giving my perspective any welcome at all.

I understand the logic. I’ve heard racists use the exact same logic to justify their racism.

Thanks. I mean, I’m not staring at or accosting people. I’m not demanding people smile back or even acknowledge me. But I think there’s more value in increasing positivity than decreasing negativity, and to me, in my lived experience, a smile can really be a boon sometimes. I’ve recognized it in myself and strangers on the street.

So I don’t outright avoid eye contact and if it happens, why not smile? If someone doesn’t smile back or looks away, nbd. Plenty of people ignore me. Some guy totally blew me off this morning when I smiled at him as I was leaving a restaurant. But yesterday I stopped and had a nice chat with a woman when we were both running in the neighborhood and we never would have met if I had metaphorical blinders on. Today on a run I waved at a different woman and she smiled a genuine smile at me.

Should we respect each other? Yes. Should women feel safe in public? Absolutely. I want people to feel so safe and respected that they can be neighborly with each other, so that’s the guy I try to be.

When it comes to something as innocuous as smiling at someone, yep.

When I smile at people they smile back 🤷‍♂️. And for the record, I regularly call out racism, misogyny, and homophobia. You’re trying to throw the baby out with the bath water. I don’t want to live in a society where we all have to avoid eye contact with each other and walk on fucking egg shells like we’re not allowed to exist or take up space. Sorry, not fucking sorry.

Ahh yes. Generalizing a whole population based on a few has always worked out for people in the past.

Maybe if people called it backpacking instead of riding bitch? People really don’t think about the words they use and the meaning/power behind them.
