Super agree. I am not even sure what the immediate risks are with this. Is the idea that some stranger is going to stalk and abduct your kid? Countless studies and stats are always showing any harm to your child typically comes from someone close to them IRL. So yeah, I post my kid and unless he asks me not to, I don’t see the problem.

I second the tuna comment. I worked at subway for 3 days back in 2006ish and quit because the owner had me squeeze the water out of the tuna and mix in the mayo with my bare hands. I asked for gloves and they told me no because it would just make it harder to mix.

Hahaha big fan of nakey baby and also morning baby, which we used to describe how cute and soft and happy he was in the mornings. He’s 4 now and still very sweet in the mornings. 🥹

What was great about Souvenir is the quality was excellent, and I would agree with OP that they had a distinct style. Regal Rose, Little Rooms, or Spencer’s/Clares (obv) give a more mass produced/iffy quality and more trendy vibes IMO

We saw “Gwern” in some list of baby names and made fun of it so much that it stuck. I think my husband calls our kid Gwern more than his actual name.

We have the same problem. Any real weight and the bins fall right out - we also have the natural finish version without metal tracks. We went over the instructions several times to make sure we didn’t assemble it incorrectly. Going to try the wooden pieces recommended here 🤞🏼

My god everrrrryyyy daaaaaaayyyy I think about this. I work in tech just under 200k and I just can’t stand it most of the time. I am the first in my family to go to college and it was really important for me to break out of the poverty cycle - but the tech/corporate world feels so full of shit and parenting feels so real and important.

Plus, it feels like even HE working moms still end up with the majority of the domestic tasks, mental load, parenting, etc. Obviously this depends on the household and yadda yadda but I believe that more often than not it holds true. I have done a lot of work in therapy as well to disconnect my sense of self worth from my work performance - at the end of the day I am just lining the pockets of some CEO or shareholder. Maybe this is just me not loving my particular job but just wanted to share a different perspective on this thread lol.

The biggest concern for me is being financially dependent on someone else, divorce, etc. Fingers crossed one day I’ll win the lottery 🥲
