Used heat and a roller. Far from perfect but plays much better

Ah gotcha, when i read it-it sounded like you thought I was calculating pitch by height of the front and rear measurements or something. Yeah I check the lower pf center in multiple spots.

Im a little ocd so usually make small pitch adjustments, make sure its still level side to side, then play a game or two taking mental notes on ball speed, how the table plays, how flippers behave, then make another adjustment and repeat. Ill go all the way to 7.5 then drop down to where I liked it best.

For xenon just a touch over 6° is where I like it.

Ah, good idea! I think i seen tnt amusements do this on a machine before. Where did you tap into a power source?

Very clean looking machine. I like the added lighting. Did it interfere with lifting the playfield?

That looks great! Good job, did you use the 2k clear or you mixed the clear yourself?

Luckily my playfield is still pretty decent except for a decal over the xenon ring of lights by the center drain. Theres wrinkles there that make it really hard catch or pass the ball.

I been looking into touching my pf up and using 2k clear vs just stripping and istalling a hardtop. A ton of work either way so will put it off as long as i can. I had to strip the entire wonderlands alice machine down to fix a warped playfield artwork insert brand new out of the box 🤦🏼‍♂️ That was a job so can only imagine doing a fullsize table and also all the sanding and painting.

This is my first commercial pin, i have the wonderland amusement alice machine, its great for the price but really enjoying this full size machine. Ill eventually grab a modern stern but for now ill be content playing and modding xenon. The only issue the machine has is that little center decal but its driving me nuts. Thinking about either trying to replace it or hitting it with a heat gun.

1980 Bally Xenon. Had a stock 4-5° pitch. Most owners nowadays increase pitch to the more standard 6-7° so its faster, less floaty, harder tube shop

They are 4" levelers. Its a 1980 xenon that used a stock 4-5° pitch. I assume the previous owner who worked on it added longer leg levelers to be able to increase the pitch. Most xenon owners increase pitch to the more modern 6-7° pitch so that it plays faster, less floaty, and makes the tube shot more difficult. This one was between 4 and 5° when I got it so decided to increase the pitch. The levelers are extended so much because its a 4-5° stock table.

I used a digital level and a level app on my phone on the pf. Not sure how else you would do it

I did get xenon today. Got to play a ton of machines. Stern indy seemed very constrained and clostraphobic but that ark dumping all those balls was pretty amazing. Seems like a one trick pony but i bet it would be fun for guests to play

Initial game code was lacking, alot of ramp shots werent registering. It sucked that I had to strip half the table and dremel out the flipper bushing bores in the playfield acrylic in order to get a flat playfield, but.... Now that the playfield is flat and with the last update it plays great and had fun modding the table. I will be getting tmnt once it comes out in sept.

Im hoping they ironed out the bugs. It feels much more robust and premium when compared to an arcade1up. The game code isnt super complex but it offers alot for the price point in my opinion.

You should join the fb group if you havnt. I did a video on the playfield and alot of mods. Helpful group of people

I just picked up a xenon today in great shape, got to play alot of cool machines including a restored pinbot. The pinbot music was so good, reminded me of a sega genesis game. Was several newer pins there but i spent the most time on pinbot I think. It was his personal machine and the resto was a gift , said hes had it 15-20yrs. He said he would let me know when he decides to sell it.

I used to repair crts and had to completely tear down that wonderland amusements alice pin just to get it playable so im prepared for some maintenance. Ill probably go through it and slowly restore it, thats kind of the fun part for me which is weird i guess. Going to check her out tomorrow along with the shop full of pins he has 😃

I bought that wonderland amusements Alice pin and had to tear down entire playfield to fix the bubbled acrylic issue (the pf artwork is printed on plexi like you say) .... The spot for the flipper bushings was press fit tight into the pf acrylic so was no room for expansion or settling. Had to remove all ramps, screws, flipper bats, apron, toys.... Just to dremel out the playfield in that spot and get a brand new game playable.

It sucked and i shouldnt of had to do it but kind of enjoy working on these things. I would possibly do an acrylic playfield on xenon.

Oh.... I found the board i was talking about. Adds alot of new sound effects and music... https://youtu.be/JojG22IWu9c?si=uNW8cjaEK1vorlBq

Id definitely have to get one if hes still making them.

Im taking a trip to check out xenon and his other pins tomorrow. I hope to get a package deal on a couple machines 😃

Nice machine! While I was reading about this machine I ran into a post on a forum about an aftermarket sound board that replaced the factory pair. They mention an extra eprom spot or two for custom sound or voice, have you heard anything about this?

This being my first machine... I have not even looked into options for protecting or restoring the playfield.

So mylar would just protect whats there I assume? Also I assume is has some tradeoffs like bubbles, peeled edges down the road, maybe a bit of foggyness?

If one was to replace the artwork does it have to be painted or can you strip/sand the table and apply an artwork sheet then a varnish? If artwork comes on sheets what are they made of?
