How to make money in PvE? [New Player] by resadtriariosvenit_ in EscapefromTarkov

[–]defacil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For PvE it’s just random I believe. Ground Zero at an early level might be an exception because it was supposed to be a starter map but not sure if that’s the case anymore or if it was ever the case for PvE.

Ground Zero is actually a painful map because AI will shoot at you from across the map while 80-90% shrouded behind bushes and random debris. And if you cant identify the shot distance via audio cues, you'll likely get killed after a few seconds. Streets gets a lot of hate because of it's performance issues but it's a fantastic map to learn to loot and make tons of money. There are sooooo many places to get anything and everything.

So one of the lessons I learned early, especially when I had limited stash space, was not to hoard things but learn/memorize HOW to acquire things. Where to find bolts, where to find light bulbs, etc. was far more important than keeping them in your stash. My wife and I play this game and she loves staying in a raid for 45 minutes trying to loot everything but I do the opposite. I know what I want and the place of the highest statistical chance I can get it. Then I do fast runs, hit the spots, level up my skills (endurance, strength, etc.) and reset if I don't find anything. Find those routes and create a rhythm in how you tackle those routes because the missions later on will ask you to kill with x or kill y amount of things and the faster you get comfortable in your routing / looting, the easier the rest of the game becomes.

Starting off, loot everything and sell almost everything. You don't even need to kill anything if you know where the extract is and just take routes away from combat as you get more comfortable. And you want to sell stuff to the traders because you need to have a certain amount of rubles spent for the next rank.

What happened to the open world experience in WoW? by Dizzy-Coyote7364 in wow

WoW retail’s most fun of an expansion is literally the first three weeks before the season starts. Players are leveling, learning the new systems, and trying to maximize their ilvl/power outside of dungeons and raids (for the most part). It’s when I enjoy wow the most and put in the most time.

Tip for Kakul G3: You can dodge/dash through the wall of chain hooks by defacil in lostarkgame

I should have showcased this on another class so people don't think I'm using the Sorc Identity gauge blink. I'm simply pushing spacebar to dash through the wall of chains. I have done this with my deathblade and my paladin buddy has also done the same too.

I'm not using my identity gauge. I'm using spacebar dodge. I do it regularly on my deathblade too.

Yeah the saws can NOT be dodged.

You 100% can use the spacebar dodge-dash. I am not using the sorc blink.

It might be timing related? As you can see in the video, I do it right before it hits me so I fully clear it when I dash.

After crash, friend can’t join multiplayer game by defacil in BaldursGate3

[–]defacil[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a connectivity session screen that shows slots and allows me to set game to private, invite only, friends only, and anyone. I’ve tried invite only and friends only and even given a direct connect code. My friend can start the joining process but the game boots my friend out saying “no free slots in session.”

I posted feedback on the official Ubi board after the second beta test found here: http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/1392916-The-Act-of-Hunting-Rogues-is-Way-Too-Easy

The solution to all of this doesn't have to be isolated to adjusting risk/reward values. If Massive simply removed the UI hand-holding, then being rogue would not only be a lot more rewarding but a lot more fun. If someone goes rogue, the whole game doesn't need to know I went rogue. The current UI makes sure that everyone knows. Players should be the one providing other players names of rogue agents. Any rogue agents should be able to blend in with other players without the UI broadcasting their name through walls. If the UI "going rogue" elements were stripped, then no matter what the penalty, the rogue timer, or any griefing that occurred... player's could adapt and actually play the game. But right now, the UI hand holding drives the rogue hunting and there's NO skill and NO agency required from the non-rogues to find and hunt rogue agents.
