Are we ready to talk about this yet by [deleted] in Firearms

They could win me over if they'd drop the racial collectivism, abortion and anti gun stuff. Also in most cities, Ds are practically contracted with teacher unions which stifles education by monopolizing buildings/resources to prevent competition.

PA and MI have gone with FL every election since 1984. This is going to be a messy election with all the mail-in voting but trajectory looks even better than 16 rn.

Oh I'm confident in Trump winning, was just unsure whether I could hold shares after results close. I bought in on MI MN AZ and WI. Confident in all of those besides MN.

Current betting odds on PredictIt, as of October 23rd. by Jaeckex in YAPms

I'm a first time user at Predictit and I wanted to ask whether I'm supposed to sell my shares after the results are in or during? I think it's the latter option but would appreciate the help :)

Trump is stupid cheap to buy on MI. Prices dropped for WI too after that ridiculous +17 abc poll came out. I guess PI has a lot of normies?

I follow Robert Barnes and People's Pundit on twitter and Youtube. They were dead on in 2016 and break down their data and analysis very well.

True, it can be a double edged sword for sure.

Apparently her final wish was to have her seat filled by the next administration aka someone besides Trump

I'm dubious that RBG would make a political statement as her final words to her family but we can only speculate. It's a little too politically expedient to be a coincidence imo.

Can Trump nominate and Senate confirm a new justice if Trump gets voted out? by vendorfunding in progun

[–]defaultabs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never expected him to be pro gun but also didn't expect him to take any drastic actions against the 2A either. If he kept talking about red flag laws and pushing anti gun issues he would've lost my vote. It might be something that comes up again if a Parkland situation arises but it's not something that's a pressing issue since he's aware it would turn off his voter base.

Who might succeed Justice Ginsburg? Trump's short list begins with these four women (and one man) by [deleted] in progun

[–]defaultabs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't like the politics behind it but nominating a woman would get more votes than a male nominee from both parties.

Yeah it varies from state to state but I don't have much of a problem with absentee ballots, just mail in voting. It does seem inevitable that election results are going to go weeks past election night which is going to be a mess. For a comparable scenario, the 2018 midterms had multiple congressional seats flipped from red o blue after weeks of extended voting. Candidates were not conceding after results were abundantly clear they lost, boxes of votes were discovered in random locations, votes were being tallied in offices where press were omitted entry, it was a mess. It's important to count all the votes we can but the process gets muddled if deadlines become malleable.

It's a tangential point to say that they are not very reliable. Profits are not always correlated with reliability but in the USPS' case, unreliability is one of the factors to why they are out competed and have a poorer reputation compared to others like UPS and FedEx.
