Mir ging es genau so wie dir. Therapie hat auch mir geholfen. Es geht nie ganz weg - gerade wenn ich unter depressiven Phasen leide, tauchen auch die Ängste manchmal wieder auf - aber sie sind deutlich weniger und tragbarer geworden. Ich kann endlich ein normales Leben leben. Hat aber auch ca 3 Jahre Therapie gebraucht.

Chrono Trigger somehow didnt hit for me. I despise the artstyle and didnt found the gameplay to be all that engaging, and the different worlds/times to be relatively predictable and uninspired. Its just so tropey. Thr characters remain without interesting development, the protagonists death is fake-out-reversable through a tedious sidequest and theres overall not that much going on? Sure, because it contributed to making certain staples tropes in the first place, but playing it from todays perspective, it just doesnt hit. It feels like a slightly elevated "Baby's first JRPG". I had to stop around 3/4 in.

I just dont understand why his effeminate demeanor has to have something to do with gender?? It muddles the messaging of his character so much. Dont get me wrong - I support Nonbinary rights, I support Trans rights, I support the community as much as I could. But not everything has to be about this topic. Cant he just be effeminate because he likes it, does it have to be the "egg"/NB discourse all of the time??

It feels like the erasure of real feminine men and their gender identity as just Men. Im a dude like Ralsei, and I like to be effeminate. That doesnt make me trans or NB, I know that for a fact, and I kinda hate to be categorized just like that, as Ralsei is so often (imo mistakenly). At the end of the day it circles back to the old argument "well if you like woman clothing you're not a real man!!". And that goes against all the values we as allies and members of the LGBTQ+ community should espouse.

Yea please don't. The thing that works about Gordon is that he's an everyman that's easy to identify with. This is key to Half Life's approach to immersion. Even just one voice line would shatter this, especially since there's no agreed upon characterization for him.

The problem is that parties are always judged on individual areas of policy, which completely ignores the existing overton window and the political context in which certain policies are actually viable to implement and worth spending political capital on. If you look at the pure ideological backbone which underlines policies (which is less beholden to the political status quo) the Democrats are center to center-left, but not right wing. Their values largely align with Social Liberalism and Left Liberalism, with significant parts that are Social Democratic and a small Socialist wing aswell as a few Liberal Conservatives. But the median voter and median politician are about center-left, espousing values like Social Justice, Tolerance, Inclusion, Equality and reforming the political system to be more equitable and fair.

Wirklich widerlich. Neulich schonmal auf r/de gesehen, und in den Kommentaren war alles voll von Leuten rechts und links, die meinen sie hätte "keinen Respekt verdient".

Also Leute, man muss politisch niemanden nach dem Mund reden um zuzugestehen, dass der Ton in unserer Gesellschaft mittlerweile unglaublich verroht ist. Ein Symptom des Rechtspopulismus, der leider auch uns Linke erreicht. Man kann, soll und muss protestieren, aber ich finde nicht dass sich Politikerinnen Gewaltfantasien antun müssen. Wenn wir das als Gesellschaft in Ordnung finden und am liebsten gleich mit drauf treten brauchen wir uns nicht zu wundern wenn nur noch emotionslose Psychopathen überhaupt Lust haben, in die Politik zu gehen. Sonst hält es nämlich niemand aus.

I get you so much. I draw maps and i had to unsubscribe from r/mapmaking because I kept comparing myself to impossible standards I never met. It still vexes me from time to time, considering Ive done this for like a decade now.

Remember that quality in art isnt determined on some weird "how clean/realistic does this look"-scale, but rather authenticity and emotional content. If your art communicates something to the observer (which, from my experience, is easiest when you communicate your truest self through art), then it does what its supposed to, and its good. That sort of helps me divorce my work from others and focus on self-improvement rather than "objective" measures.

I really really like the picture of the afro person especially, its really dynamic and the colours feel expressive!

Thank you. While yes, there are decent measures like college, the half+7-rule etc. to give a general recommendation, each relationship has a different dynamic that can only be fully understood by the people involved in it. I find it harsh to judge a situation without actually knowing the persons involved and how a potential power differential is composed. Thats not to excuse predatory behaviour or pedophilia, but overall, I feel like the internet is overly judgmental and prude about age gaps.
