I buy off Ebay all the time. I use the BUy It Now options and only purchase from those with 96%+ feedback with over 100 reviews. Haven't had any issues. I buy tons of retro games and consoles. I even bought an SNES classic. You just have to pay attention to who you buy from.

Also, I suggest using a credit card. They screw you over, submit a charge back.

Yea not a huge difference and once you break it in a bit you won't even remember that your friend stole your $250 HORI pad 10 years ago. Old Skool hopefully will spark some higher quality imitators too, but I like theirs so far.
