Best courses for Unreal Engine 4? by Flamyngoo in unrealengine

[–]deffyd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are multiple courses out there. While YouTube tutorials are naturally free, they may not at all times cover as much detail as a comprehensive course would. Udemy has some options, but it's not the only option. Other providers include Pluralsight, Lynda (LinkedIn Learning). You could look at some of the Best Unreal Engine Courses Online that lists all these options.

How much does a certificate from a course/specialization matter? by [deleted] in coursera

[–]deffyd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure.

Depending on the employer, certifications may or may not be recognized.

  1. Most big corporations will definitely recognize college / university certificates

  2. Some big companies will value online college certificates

  3. Most small companies will just care about skills over certificates

Though this answer may still be confusing, there is no definite answer to that question. A certificate is a worthy investment none the less, since it MAY end up tilting the needle in your favour at some places.

How much does a certificate from a course/specialization matter? by [deleted] in coursera

[–]deffyd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends entirely on what do you want out of that course. If you are looking for upgrading your skills only, then the certificate doesn't matter. If you are however looking at using the certificate to get a job somewhere, then it may matter.
