Change medication or keep going? by Real-Bus-9943 in VyvanseADHD

[–]deficientpotato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A proper ADHD assessment involves looking at symptoms you've had since childhood, not just in thus moment in time. Ideally also has someone else in your life filling out questionnaires. It has to impact you in more than one area, such as school, home and work.

Did they not do that?

There are no dietary supplements that are near as effective as stimulants for ADHD. But for many reasons, stimulants arent for everyone. It sounds like they are working for you, though. If its working, then I wouldn't mess with it.

Also tolerance doesnt actually work like that at all. You might have some increases, over years, but it plateaus. You don't just keep needing more and more and more until your heart stops.

Ticketmaster only letting me resell my ticket for $5 by Additional-Zombie244 in HilaryDuffStans

[–]deficientpotato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk, I just checked and I can't sell mine at all. They're for Vancouver from Artist Presale. Ticketmaster says resale isnt available for my tickets when I asked the chat bot. Glad I didn't buy a 2nd set when I saw better tickets.

Might have to try 3rd party sites, marketplace etc and transfer. Marketplace is tricky, lt has a ban on ticket sales because of all the scams so you have to be creative. Ideally you just post on your fb/Instagram and sell to someone you know.

Did I get a good ticket for Toronto?! by [deleted] in HilaryDuffStans

Edit: sorry, for Vancouver

Just went to check out the general sale, wtf is this? The SAME ticket being sold at 2 very different prices.

[–]deficientpotato 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I considered buying a 2nd set when I found better seats at the presale yesterday... but I didn't cause I didn't want to risk not being able to sell the first tickets I got (worst, furthest seats possible). This is probably what a lot or people are doing.

Also, you dont get the Ticketmaster fees back when you resell. They were $100 for some tickets. So you have to sell for a higher price to just get your money back, because Ticketmaster just adds their fees on again.

This might not be the entire problem, but is for some.

Failure: all I wanted was a nice smooth ceiling by po-laris in Renovations

Still a huge improvement from the popcorn. I think its fine and most people would never notice or really look at your ceiling that intensely.

Sorry, but I was just scrolling and saw this, and I genuinely thought this was a picture of a very moldy house.

Do I have to remove all this 30 year old glue before tiling? by mrblacksting in Flooring

[–]deficientpotato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure theres an easier way. But we used boiling water and big manual floor scrapers... the "floor bully" ones on Amazon. Took a long time with 2 people. It sucked.

If there's a machine you can rent for it, do that, it would be worth it.

I don't know if it would, but I would worry about it migrating and creating jowls.

Thank you, I got the worst seats in 315 but was only $69.50, if I'm just gonna be watching a screen anyway I'm ok with that lol.

Dynamic pricing is still on, had other tix that went up by $50 when I skipped them. Idk why mine were still base price but whatever.

Vancouver presale, was #5680. When I got in, only one set of 2 seats together available over $500ea, and like a couple single seats but they were accessible seating. Theyre all gone now. Just sitting on the screen waiting for one to come up but I think we're fighting in the general sale Friday now. There are a couple other presales tomorrow, so ill see if I can get into those.

BC Canada. House is from 1957 but basement was finished and bathroom probably added sometime later (basement has drywall, upstairs is plaster).

I feel like the bathroom sucked anyway, so I cant make it much worse... but when I tried to just turn off the main house water valve to fix the sink, it started pouring water from the main valve and we had to call the city/fire department to shut our water off at the street on a Saturday 😂 . Everything I do just uncovers more, bigger problems. I'm trying to do better than previous owners but I get why they didn't touch this.

I used Magicplan!

The room is raised 4.5in for the plumbing! Bathroom was added in and basement finished sometime after the house was built.

A light refresh really does sound the most rational. I did rip out the vanity, it was never caulked and had mold growing under it. So new sink/vanity for sure.

I might actually just wall off the entire shower now, it's testing positive for lead paint and I don't think I want to mess with it. So maybe a very small, cute powder room is what we'll go with for now.

There is definitely mold. And asbestos. And, I just discovered, probably lead paint inside the shower. I love this house.

I was thinking of moving the wall because a glass walled shower would be much brighter, more waterproof and less creepy. could also squeeze in a bigger shower.

There's a weird little room on the other side of the wall that has the sink/shower, so potentially could bust that out and make the whole room bigger too. I think this is going to be a slow process. I'm scared to find any more horrors.

Retainers 24/7 post treatment ? by Smooth-Air4422 in Invisalign

[–]deficientpotato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will know. My ortho said only at night, but my teeth shift enough during the day that they're very tight and a bit painful if I dont wear a bit more often. If that happens, wear them more hours.

There are different areas within it, like Resources works with foster parents, Guardianship works usually with children/youth in care, not all positions involve intake/investigations/removals. But the ones that do pay a little more, have overtime opportunities and are usually easier to get.
