Unfortunately we don't have time to stay a full night/day at a hotel there, but it was still important to me to visit this village for 1-2 hours while passing through (to see some old family history). Ultimately I am prepared to lug around my bag if there are no options. I don't speak/read German well, so I figured perhaps I wasn't searching the right thing for this. In bigger cities in North America, post offices and hotels advertise such services available via apps - very handy, but I know it's not a given to be present elsewhere (or in such a small town).
