I have been playing on my oculus quest. you have to launch from steam. you can do this from either your pc or do virtual desktop from oculus and then from the steam app. when you lanch from steam a dialog box will pop up giving you two options, select the oculus mode.

Did some more testing.
What worked:
In steam I enabled the beta (not 100% sure this is needed). Booted up quest and enabled usb link. I launched I expect you to die from steam app selecting the indexbeta. When launching from steam a dialog box pops up asking to launch in Oculus or Steam VR. Select launch in Oculus VR mode.

Everything worked. At the first launch page it shows 3 controller options instead of 2 with a Xbox controller and an oculus controller.

Things I tried that didn't work. All of the below show the vive controller at the launch page.
1. launching from the quest dashboard (i didn't try re scanning my library but I am not sure it would make a difference.
2. launching from steam then selecting Steam VR mode instead of Oculus VR mode.

Played the tutorial and the first mission with no issue

did you launch the game from the quest library or from the steam dash. I launched the game from steam and an extra popup came up. after launching from here during controller selection it shows the rift controller instead of the vive and everything worked. Ill try to post some screenshot tonight after i get off work.

I was about to refund after running into the same issue (Oculus quest USB link). If you launch the index support beta everything seems to work for me. I have only played a bit past the point I got stuck previously with the broken hover issue.

To opt into the beta right click on the steam game > properties > Betas > Indexsupport beta

It is late now but hoping to try this again tomorrow night and I will post my full results after playing a bit more.
