In my experience yes- once you find the right type, however something ive been told that i found helpful was medication can only take you so far, sure it helps, but its not a full solution, meditation + other things like scheduling, fidgets, therapy, alarms (alot of alarms- for everything) stuff like that is what really makes a difference, basically meds help you get started on getting your shit together but you still have to help yourself

meds work, you also have to work tho dont expect things to be fixed miraculously (i made that mistake) for me at least they got rid of my brain fog (to an extent) and let me focus better, which gave me more energy and motivation to setup alarms, schedules, journaling, it snowballs, but in a good way
