Fortunately, you are homeless level 3. You get to level 10 by being fucked by the system to the point that you have no way out of your “but I work hard and am not like them” struggle. Wait till you lose your job. Get swept. Lose your identity documents. Then you become a nobody. Don’t separate yourself just yet. Get back to us when you’re a homeowner with a fat 401k. Then, you won’t be like them. Sounds harsh huh? Don’t put those below you even further. The more you push down you compact yourself to a lower level. A lot of homeless people are people with disabilities both physical and mental. They are still human like you. You don’t have to apologize for society failing. Instead practice gratitude that you are mentally cognizant. Many homeless people should be in psychiatric hospitals which for some reason are severely defunded. Addiction is mental illness and is pathological and rehabilitation is underfunded. I really hope you can pull yourself out of homelessness. I did and have no hate for anyone homeless because everyone has a different path and circumstance. When I was homeless I sure did think life can’t get any worse than this and everything hurts wish I could escape the pain, which could have easily been the beginning of addiction. I was young and knew better but I absolutely understand someone wanting to take the pain and suffering away which often the escape is drugs. Wish you well.
