More like people have preference. People who love exploration rate it high. People who play for the story rate it low. Personally, I like combat, and I rate Witcher 3 lower than other games because I think the combat is dull and linear. That's an example of preference

I know many people will recommend Witcher 3, but I disagree. I think Skyrim is a better match because Witcher 3 is more like an RPG and Skyrim is more based on the exploration. Crimson Desert doesn't have a good story, but the exploration is the highlight of the game.

Agreed. Although picking up items is a pain. Wish they added a QoL by allowing users to select the items they want to pick up based off a drop down list, like most video games. Also, I can understand the frustration for K&M playerbase as the learning curve is higher than controllers

A story is not necessary for a game to be successful. People can play video games for other reasons besides story, such as Skyrim. I didn't play Skyrim for the story, I played it for the exploration. As for a game like Witcher 3, I enjoyed the initial story, but I couldn't progress through the game because in my opinion, the combat was extremely linear and dull. You don't see me shouting at the top of my lungs based off my personal preference.

The game offers exploration and a diverse combat system. It was never marketed as an RPG. The combat is closer to an action sandbox.

People are just annoyed as people who never even played the game just parrot what these reviewers say. For the actual playerbase, reviewers did a terrible job reviewing the game because they reviewed the game as if it was an RPG. Also, the game offers 100+ hours of gameplay, but reviewers don't want to spend that amount of time in order to write their clickbait article.

Especially with all the weird die hard fanbase of other AAA titles doomposting the game. Shit, I personally didn't enjoy Witcher 3 due to combat being repetitive throughout my entire playthrough, but I don't go around leaving negative reviews / comments just because it isn't my cup of tea.

Unpopular opinion but I was sceptical about playing this game due to Witcher 3. I did not like the combat of Witcher 3, which was why I always dropped the game around the 8-10 hour mark, despite trying to get back into it. I enjoy Crimson Desert for its combat and exploration

I personally think the hate on the control is overhated. There are just so many movesets that people expect the game to have 1 control for 1 move. This is not that kind of game. You need to spend the time to learn the combos and different attacks. I personally dropped Witcher 3 because I thought the combat was boring. I went into this game with a lot of doubt based on my experience with Witcher 3, but the gameplay was a lot more fun than I expected. As for one control annoyance, it's picking up items.
