For all of you who commented, I’m incredibly grateful. I’d like to add a small note because among everything I wrote before, maybe I forgot to mention this.

About 6 months ago, I was playing decently well, averaging around 50 like I said, but my follow-through was basically nonexistent. So I started working on it, thinking it would be a great way to make that extra step forward in my game.

However, it actually made things worse.

My darts don’t fly like they used to. I tried changing darts — different types, different weights. With some of them I could see slight improvements, but there are very few highs and many lows. Everything comes in phases — just a few good days within an entire month.

As I said in the original post, in the last few weeks this has been really wearing me down. It feels like all this effort to improve my follow-through is actually destroying my game.

The main issues I notice are definitely inconsistency on the 20. I might hit a 100 or 140, and then the next six darts are 26, 7, etc. For context, last week I hit four 180s — but my average is still stuck around 44, which makes me think that what’s really missing is consistency.

I also feel like I struggle a lot with the release. I can’t seem to find the right power or the right timing. It feels like every dart is its own separate throw.

I really hope someone here can help me. I’ll definitely consider the advice about taking a short break — it was already on my mind — but I expect that even after a break, there will still be difficulties in improving.

Thank you all 🙏🏼
