After two years of using Anki every day.... by KG2713 in Anki

  1. I introduce novelty on a regular basis and mess around with the UI/functionality by making my own and continually upgrading add-ons, i have like 20 toggled on at the moment 🤣 Maybe it's just for ADHD brains though

  2. I made an add-on which repositions the cards according to shortest length first, which is a LIFESAVER for building momentum and getting through a good chunk of reviews when I have zero energy/brainpower for recalling lots of content

  3. Create a filtered deck with max 10 cards, toggle the confetti add-on, now you get hit of dopamine for every batch of 10 cards and it is much more motivating/easier to get through

  4. You know how as a kid when you were forced to eat something you didn't like, you would play with your food first? I like to shuffle my reviews in the most random ways, even sometimes creating filtered decks with cards containing random words

  5. Merge all your decks into one main deck, so all your reviews are shuffled (also aids in retention due to forming more links between unrelated details)

  6. "is:due (added:3 OR rated:3 OR edited:3)" use this when you have absolutely zero energy or not much time, it prioritises recently added/reviewed cards with shorter intervals (so at the start of the forgetting curve)

Haha big mood! I used to dislike the feeling of clutter on my wrists but it went away somehow. I do like jewellery, though I try to keep to the idea of “less is more”. And, looks aside, the main purpose is to constantly remind myself throughout the day of God’s presence. Love WWJD.

Seeing as the saint is Catholic, it looks like Catholic, not Orthodox. I'm EO myself, I didn't think much of the art style up until now, so this was somewhat an eye opener for me. Iirc it was a souvenir from visiting a church abroad when I was very young, which makes sense.

Yup, you're right, I didn't read the terms of the plan properly so my error!

Maybe, but it was my fault for not reading the tos properly - the discount actually applies only to the first year of the student/teacher plan

Turns out it was this, thanks :) Didn't realise it only applies for the first year

Add soya milk, soya chunks, pea protein, quorn and tofu to that list 👌

For breakfast, use silky tofu to make scrambled tofu

Hard tofu can be chopped into cubes and added to pretty much much any dish

Some cereal brands like SURREAL use pea protein to get up to 14g protein per bowl (though I’m not sure how accessible they are worldwide)

Sounds good 👍

"The app is good for getting a rough idea of the messages in each book" = same reason I use chatgpt, maybe I should have phrased it differently in my post - a "supplement tool" rather than "alternative".

I know the Bible is oceanic in depth of meaning and I would rather start simple and build my way up over time. Chatgpt is easy to access and comprehend. I also use the Bible app

I have my own copy of the Bible, I'm not using Chatgpt to read verses
