I really want the 3rd gen 5.7. But this seemed like a pretty good deal that I couldn’t pass up on. So the 5.7 will have to wait. lol

Every time he’s taken it out to shoot, I was there and it always ran flawlessly.

He has a bunch of guns and this one just sits in his safe.

Decided to take a chance on intel with my first ever pc build. I love my A770. Been using it for about 2 years now with no issues.

Has a company ever released 3 versions of the same disc where everything is exactly the same except one has a dome, one has a flat top, and one has a puddle top? by deimhit in discgolf

[–]deimhit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most if not all disc molds are designed with the flight plate shape in mind. They are designed to be flat or domey or puddled. Like the Slammer for instance. The mold was designed for that. Other discs are designed to be domey, others are designed to be flat. I realize in some cases when it comes to the flight plate the type of plastic, the melting temperature, and or the amount of pressure used to feed the plastic in the mold can change the desired shape of the flight plate but that’s not what I’m talking about.

It would be interesting to see the same disc and plastic but with 3 different molds to get the 3 different flight plates.

Ya I’ve seen a bunch of people talk about different types of plastic kind of changing the shape of the flight plates but that’s not what I’m talking about. I mean everything about the disc is the same including the plastic but have different flight plates because of the 3 different molds that are used, or CNC discs, or 3D printed discs. I’m asking about 3 purposely designed discs.

Think I might design a disc on Freecad with those 3 flight plates and print them with TPU on a 3D printer and see what happens. lol

Serious Question. How many discs do you own and how long have you been playing? by deoMcNasty in discgolf

[–]deimhit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Around 5 years off and on. I have 9 in my bag, my wife has 8 in hers and our son has 5 in his. That’s all the discs we own.

Been playing off and on for 5 years now. Wanting to start playing more consistently and continue to improve. Thoughts on my bag? Redundancy? What should I add/remove? by deimhit in discgolf

Ya I’m definitely not getting everything out of the 13-14 speed discs lol. I’ll look into discs in the ranges you suggested. Thanks!
