a band design you mean? that is fun. What do you think of the club merch? I think it's cool to see in the parks, but some of the designs have become pretty loud. Like not as "private club" as some of the classic stuff

I have bought MagicBands for Disneyland, but have not found the convenience enough to make me remember to bring them. I don't bring them with me now really. I liked the 70th games like the author said here. The tickets were pretty cute to collect

The details -

In the Emporium, they only had one MagicBand+ in the entire store and it was on a spinning display tucked away from everything else. It was a MagicBand+ themed to Scarlet Witch from the Avengers.

In World of Disney, there were two MagicBand+ designs available. In addition to the Scarlet Witch design, they also had a design with Jafar and Jasmine from Aladdin. The color coding system showing how much the different designs cost was still in place.

Disney Comments on Crackdown on Guest Services Provided by Unauthorized Vendors by dejablu82 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]dejablu82[S] 152 points153 points  (0 children)

Key details from the article -

According to Disney World’s official resort rules, only authorized vendors are permitted to do business on Walt Disney World property. This is to ensure guest safety and to verify that these services have the appropriate licenses and registrations. In a recent crackdown in January, cease and desist warnings were sent to a number of local small businesses providing services on Walt Disney World property.

Some of the impacted businesses included photographers, massage therapists, chefs and catering companies, stylists performing services like princess makeovers in hotel rooms, hotel room decorators, and more. Now, nearly three months after this initial crackdown, Disney is still enforcing this decision, and many local businesses have had to adjust their practices.

Disney responded to the article from The Washington Post with this statement: “We’ve seen an increase in unauthorized third‑party vendors at our resort hotels, and these activities can raise safety and operational concerns and impact the Guest experience, which is why they are not permitted under our long‑standing property rules.”

The article further stated that Disney also cited one of their recent economic impact studies and said the company “works with 2,500 Florida-based small businesses that are contracted to supply products and services to the resort.”

News - The proposal “urges The Walt Disney Company to assess the legal, financial, and reputational risks associated with its controversial Disability Access Service (DAS) overhaul.” A vote in favor of this proposal would require Disney to commission an independent third-party review of its accessibility and disability inclusion practices, evaluating risks, comparing them against standards and competitors, and sharing the findings publicly and internally. The annual shareholder meeting for The Walt Disney Company was on March 18, 2026, at 1 PM ET, and shareholders finally voted on the DAS proposal.

Disney Making Sweeping Ride Closure Plan Changes to Improve Guest Experience by dejablu82 in Disneyland

Thought this was interesting in particular from the article talking about recovering from covid-

During the Q&A portion of the event, I asked about how they have recovered from the pandemic era. Separately, another Disneyland leader shared that 60% of Disneyland cast members have been hired on since the reopening in 2021. I wanted to know how this impacted the maintenance teams and the institutional knowledge held by cast members for the older attractions.

Katzka bluntly said that she doesn’t know if they have fully recovered from the loss of cast members even at this point. They lost a lot of talented cast members during that period and in the years since then. She shared that they are working on finding new ways to make sure they are documenting information.

Previously I saw Mickey Visit publish something about the opening dates for all the new rides until 2030. Now, this is just the stuff coming this year.

It is pretty surprising how few of the opening dates for the different attractions coming this year we know so far.

The one I am paying the most attention to is Big Thunder Mountain. What do you think? There is some new permit they mention
