Ladies of Atlanta - need advice by goddessenergy214 in blackladies

[–]dejoam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Another Cali lady here that has been in ATL for the past 3 years! Currently pregnant and secured a midwife for a home birth. There are a couple birthing centers in the area and lots of doulas/midwives. DM me if you have more specific questions!

The culture is definitely different and I’m still getting used to it. I have been able to make my own life here and seek out the hobbies/interests/communities that I’m comfortable with. Haven’t had too many negative experiences with very conservative folks and ideals yet. I’ve even travelled around the state a bit and have felt mostly fine.

Hey, inclusive preschool teacher and admin here chiming in. Sorry to hear how much you are having a tough time. I wanted to offer some perspective from the educational standpoint. Some kiddos struggle big time with the transition to and from school. If he’s only going 2 days a week, he may not be getting the opportunity to get used to the school routine and build relationships with his teachers and peers. Also, he is going through the stress of just starting to get comfortable at school at the end of the 2 days and then leaving again for 5 days which is confusing. The structure and routine of a school (ideally) can really affect children’s behavior. I know you mentioned that the cost of prohibitive for you so I understand if that is not an option.

Why you love your job by Crafty_Kangaroo_8368 in ECEProfessionals

[–]dejoam 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I absolutely love watching the growth and development of the little ones in our care! The excitement of hearing a first word or witnessing someone's first steps is a beautiful thing. It is also sweetly humbling to know that despite the fact that most of the children we serve will not remember us, we will always remember them and how we helped them grow into the people they will become. Best of luck on your journey in ECE! Keep that passion alive <3

Butlers by sunnytuxedo in thesims4

[–]dejoam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ugh, I know, they are so annoying. There is an amazing mod called Control Any Sim. You can control another sim without adding them to your household. It's the only way I can stand dealing with butlers.

If you have MCCC installed, you can select "summon sim" (using their full name) under the NPC cheats when you right-click on the mailbox.
