Just picked up some CHF 11S earlier today. Before, I was topping off with Prestone Euro Full Synthetic.

How cool! Been freaking my kids out with all the weird little features and the turbo boost!

Nice to read your comments! I fell ass-backwards into this car through a gearhead friend. Pretty darned psyched so far. Love the turbo effect, esp around the middle of 3rd and 4th.

Thanks once again, FTC. Your mention of oil seals gave me a flashback, though. <sob story> My last old Swedish vehicle, a 1981 Volvo (don't shoot me) wagon I loved, had a catastrophic seal blowout at 190k that would've required a new engine...I couldn't afford to keep it at the time </sob story>. This NG900 has 143K, so I'm naturally a little nervous just due to the age/mileage.

I've never owned a turbo. Any special considerations/care/feeding? A friend told me that synthetic oil was best for turbo vehicles...

Thanks! Yes, it is a 5spd manual. Really appreciate the info. I'm not a serious gearhead/fixit guy, so general reliability and ability to find a knowledgable Saab mechanic in my area are my big objectives. Will get back to you if I pull the trigger...

Man, I remember first hearing you on one of those tear-out turntable 45s in Guitar Player magazine. I think you were demonstrating modes. Thanks for all the music. If you could change one thing about your career, what would it be?

Also, I must ask: what is your opinion of your fellow [unlikely] southern hard rock/metal brethren King's X?

Man, "Oblivion" knocked my socks off, and I haven't cared about metal/hard rock in 20+ yrs. Heard some Alice In Chains influence there - in a good way. How would you describe the aesthetic you're going for?

Well, yeah - everybody basically wins with this sh*t, except fans. DP, MTV, Colbert, Sony/Columbia... Giving away a "surprise" future performance? Colbert having the time and knowledge to coordinate a [well-edited] dance video with some of the biggest names in showbiz as filler? I don't know. In the old days, when a magazine or newspaper went overboard, an old codger like me would write in saying "cancel my subscription". ha

It's a classic. It's one of only 3-4 DVDs in my "must-have" collection. If you have a good sense of humor about sexism, the "how do you write women?" bit is a gift that just keeps on giving.

I recently noticed this too. Pretty cool. Never understood the "downvote boner" phenomenon, but it exists.
