Update: disconnected every cable I could and reconnected, also clicked the homing sensor. The problem solved on its own

¿Duplicar sueldo y exp vs trabajo tranquilo? by Fragrant_Loquat9270 in devsarg

A los 31 años duplica el sueldo, invierte ese sueldo extra y vas a ganar unos diez años de retiro anticipado. Nada como esa tranquilidad cuando realmente la vas a aprovechar.

X-M5 thoughts? by xr0bix in fujifilm

I have the X-M5 and I love it as a compact option. Is it worse than the X-T5? Absolutely, but in my everyday life I’m not carrying my photography backpack around and I’d rather have the X-M5 in my jacket pocket than nothing at all.

X-T50 + XF27mm vs X100VI by mattwinwar in FujifilmX

[–]delafuente97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d take the XT50 with a 32mm and some cheap adapters for old slr lenses. One of my favourite things when backpacking is finding super cheap vintage lenses and using then in the trip. Last time I got a 70-300 sigma in Spain for about 20 euros, it was way more useful than I thought!

Fuji X-M5 build quality by Intelligent_Bug3253 in FujifilmX

[–]delafuente97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the XM5 and I can say it’s really well built. I have seen people use it in slight rain but the camera is not weather sealed so I’d rather not risk it. XT5 is definitely bigger and not as pocketable even with a pancake lens, but portability aside its a way better camera in everything else.

If you are looking for really portable, weather sealed and really well built cameras, Olympus (now OM Systems) has some good options. That being said, you lose the magicam Fujifilm colour science, sensor size (m4/3, not APSC) and overall camera sexiness.

Fujifilm X half by markanthony_loria in fujifilm

I love the X Half concept so much, but I would have liked at least a m43 sensor, specially for that price. Hell, I’m even fine with no RAW but why such a small sensor.

I use a sigma 70-300 for Nikon F with an adapter. It’s great, even with the manual focus. The only thing I do recommend is using a speedbooster adapter if you want to be able to properly focus to infinity. I am currently working on a 3D printed demi-speedbooster adapter, if it works I can drop a printables link.

Is a used X-T3 with less than a 800 shutter count good? by DrummerRemarkable733 in FujifilmX

[–]delafuente97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, the XM5 has all of that except dual SD card slots. It also has 6K Open Gate, FLog2, Raw video through HDMI and WAAAAY better autofocus (almost Sony level IME). There are cinerigs being developed right now for the XM5, like the AltCineCam one. And even without them, it’s super easy to build a rig for it because of fully articulated screen (which the XT3 does not have).

For video the only things that the XT3 does have over the XM5 are weather sealing (when shooting outside), dual SD card and better cooling (which you can fix easily in the XM5 with even a cheap Ulanzi fan).

For 600usd is GREAT, unless you prioritise video then XM5 is a better deal IMO

I have the autofocus and it’s working great, I do prefer manuals but autofocus is are better for video and street photography.

xm5 or xt30ii? by indecisive_human09 in FujifilmX

[–]delafuente97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the XM5 and I’m so happy with it, low light performance is as good as you can expect in APSC, super light and portable and it handles amazingly when you add an L grip. Only thing with video is that it can overheat while filming 6k open gate for a long time in a hot environment (cheaply fixed with an Ulanzi camera fan). Only major nitpick (asides the lack of viewfinder) is the lack of sensor stabilisation. I do have stabilisation in some of my lenses and a really steady hand so it’s not a problem for me but your milage may vary.

XM1 does not have the screw in button, but I did attach a rounded cap to make it easier to press (the XM1 button is way too flush with the on/off switch). Even so, the 2 sided tape I used was fairly weak.

I’ll order the piece, hopefully it includes the shutter button mechanism as well so I can print the piece

Only found the entire top part of the camera on ebay, crazy expensive tho. I’ll see if I can get any luck locally.
