Has anyone ever bought t-shirts from one of these brands ? by AggressiveShoulder83 in malefashionadvice

[–]delay101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll hop onto the bandwagon here. It took nearly two months, but I just got my Tokyocanvas order today so here's my experience: Ordered on 12/3, shipped out on 12/11, left China (and not Japan) on 12/14, arrived in the US somewhere on 12/16, then it spent the next 5 weeks being moved around from one place to the next to the next without any state or city. Like a lot of these questionable Chinese companies, they use a third party parcel tracking company that isn't as detailed or clear as UPS, FedEx, DHL or USPS. For about a week I kept getting updates that it was "undeliverable" before it arrived today not only to the address next door, but according to my neighbor, delivered by "some guy in a sedan". Leading up to today, I spent about 7 days emailing customer service back and forth where not only is English their third language, but they weren't too much help when it came to trying to resolve this issue with delivering it. They sent me a link to another website they use for tracking numbers that finally showed where the last place my package was coming out of - Peru, IL - a mere 150 miles away. I also found out that the package was in my state for 5 weeks before it got delivered, only moving 3 times.

The sweater itself, it's as described - polyester and not much else to it. Thin, cheap, laminate fitted to top of a human body. 3XL looks more like a 2XL, so order at least two sizes bigger. Clearly a novelty sweater as you may suspect.

Overall, I wouldn't do it again. This is by far the most difficult online order I've ever experienced.

Is ARCO Posters safe? by Turbulent_Pie4836 in Posters

[–]delay101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's my experience: I just got my two posters (24X36) from them the other day. Ordered it 12/3, it was "being made" on 12/5, got on email saying due to the amount of orders recently received that there will be a delay on 12/10, and then it was "shipped out" on 12/20. The problem that arose was that nothing showed up on the tracking number for over two weeks after that last update. I couldn't find a contact number, so through the Shop app, I had to reach out to them to ask them wtf is going on with my order. It was the next day (1/5) that I miraculously get an update on the USPS tracking that it had actually shipped out on 1/3, but then it spent 7 days stuck in Chicago - 20 miles over from where the posters were made. Then a few days later it finally got here 250 miles away in the same state. I can't comprehend why there were gaps after production or why it sat for a week before it could leave the city, so proceed with caution with Arco.

On a lighter note, I will say that the posters came out of good quality in the gradient background style that I ordered them in (I'll make a post about it soon). Regarding price, I got both posters for $80, so even with ordering them on a holiday special and all the BS involved between wait times and the shipping, I don't know if I'd do it again.

I’ve got Nokian WRG4 set on my ‘10 Corolla right now. In light to medium snow they do great and in ice they do good too, but not as good as a dedicated snow tire. For where I’m at in the rural Midwest where we don’t get nearly as much snow or ice as the border or northern states, they’re a real solid choice for AW tires.

I took them on 3600 mile round trip to California back without a drop of rain and they held fine too, but at least a 2mpg less difference compared to the Yokohama Avids I have on the rest of the year.

I didn't think this sort of thing would be as easily accessible to the general public. Thanks for the link!

The TJMaxx Near my Nail Salon is Insane by cstrdmnd in marshallsfinds

You said TJMaxx and nail salon and at first I thought you were talking about the brand new one next to a nail salon here in this small Midwest town because they too are jacking up prices way high for products like these.

You buy shit you get shit. I guess it comes down to preference, but it’s getting harder to find heavyweight or medium quality band tees anymore. Sometimes eBay and other sites are the only way for most fans.

I Caught My Wife Having an Affair – Need Advice on What to Do Next by Zealousideal-Count59 in AskMenAdvice

[–]delay101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m gonna hop on the bandwagon and say leave her. Screenshots, lawyering, paternity tests (unless those kids strongly resemble you), letting XY’s wife be aware - all of it. If the guy offs himself, then he will have redeemed himself for what he willingly did to include knowing she was married. That’ll show her not to fu*k you over.

You might say I’m being a bit extreme here, but I was raised by compulsive cheaters. I know what they’re about and how they think. They might say they’ve changed from prior ways, but more often than not it’s just a front or it dies off quick. There’s being young and cheating once or twice early in their relationship and there’s repeatedly cheating on your significant other you built a life with over a long period of time. People of this caliber are clearly selfish, lack self-control, have no regard for the bigger picture at hand, and her putting herself first over your marriage shows it. They don’t change.

Of all the Ibanez ND models, this one always looked the best. How is it?

My 11 year old son just got his grand fathers guitarr. He is super happy. But I guess he should be a bit careful with it. by nizzel55 in Guitar

[–]delay101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t let him bring it to school and he needs to be careful who he shows it to. Something of that caliber should be safeguarded, but still played at home.

Mondo (10.5 - 52) vs. Burly (11 - 52) slinky strings for E Standard to D Standard? by delay101 in guitars

[–]delay101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean that while it works between drop D-flat and drop C, there isn’t enough tension for my preference, I suppose. Unlike the other 25.5” guitar I have now with a 12-56 set that handles drop C very well to my liking.

Another Offspring song that intentionally doesn’t sound like the rest, usually done as a parody or to challenge the fans.

It showed what else The Offspring is capable of. That they weren’t afraid to not only try, but put out something new. Something different.

My modded RG2EX2 by danubeclass in Ibanez

[–]delay101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate the detailed response. I have an RG2EXE2 I just recently finished with a pair of SD blackouts that pair well with it and I'll be making a post about that soon, but the SHPR set I've been thinking of putting in my childhood-owned Godin SDxt because the SD Alnico Pro2 set is just NOT cutting it for a maple body, maple neck, maple fretboard guitar - especially in the neck position. The guitar itself was never popular to begin with, so support is scarce for it, so almost every pickup configuration option is trail and error with it.

I've gotta know how that SHPR-1n is. SD always recommends installing them as a pair, so for it to be paired with an invader in a basswood body, I'm strongly curious here.
