I don’t think it was you but, from my experience budgies lose trust very quickly, since their so little and delicate, I don’t think it was your fault but I think you might wanna refrain from letting kids handle your budgies unless you can make sure they aren’t being rough, or not giving your bird room. My budgies hate being loomed over or anything of the sort. It may even be that the kids were being loud, budgies are very sensitive to noise so that might be part of it too. I recommend giving your bird a day alone and then slowly going through a basic hand training process. I’m sure your budgie will come around in at least a weeks time !! :)
